It’s the second week for the NASCAR National Series they made their way to Hotlanta and another Drafting track. You know nothing says saving money like having the most dangerous and fastest style of racing two weeks in a row.
Yea we can’t have an hour of practice for the most complicated pit row in The Sport for rookies like Toni Breidinger, Connor Zilisch, and Shane Van Gisbergen. To at least have an idea of what to expect on their race day. “Just go Do It” isn’t the best idea for something like racing in the Premiere National Series of Auto Racing in this Country.
Nothing says cost efficiency like going through what seems like 60 Separate Cup Cars (at about $3 Million bucks a pop) in the span of 14 days. Very logical on NASCARs part. Especially with Cup and the Next-Gen with parts supplied by NASCAR vendors who are probably making bank this month alone. Only ONE Cup Team has NOT been involved in an accident the first two weeks of the year.
Now onto the racing
Trucks:
This race got boring after the 2nd Stage when most of the regulars I was cheering for were taken out all to watch Kyle Busch win his umpteenth Truck Race and in Atlanta for however many times now. Yay for the Max Verstappen of Trucks. Say when’s Dodge coming in?? Asking for a friend.
Also I have a note from the home office: Parker won last week.
Xfinity:
This race once again proves one pivotal thing at RCR: The Austin’s race on the wrong days. When Hill starts racing on Sundays he’ll have a better chance than Paw Paw’s Silver Spoon Grandson. You absolutely cannot convince me otherwise. Sooner that happens the better for business all over. Also nice of you to maintain the consistency of letting them race back to the line Saturday night. Like you did at the Daytona 500. I’m sure that won’t come back to bite you.
Cup:
Where do I begin??
Let me start off by saying that Atlanta is the BEST Super Speedway Track in NASCAR TODAY!!! Drafting, Restrictor Plate, Tapered Spacer, WHATEVER YOU WANNA CALL IT. In Cup Atlanta is the best since its reconfiguration with the Next-Gen Car. Now I’d like NASCAR to fully figure out why that’s so. Seeing how you’re saving money by limiting practices
Once upon a time it was these Over 2 Mile Tracks in Florida and Alabama that pushed the limits of the car in Speed and tire wear. Now that isn’t so. The Racing in Talladega and Daytona quite frankly SUCKS. NASCAR turned Super Speedway Racing into a Gas Saving, Carnival, Demolition Derby EXPO. For what Crappy Ad Revenue?? While making the Racing much WORSE (Seriously no wonder Tony Stewart left you guys)
I feel the Question has to be asked so for your sake I’ll ask it. Are over 2.5 Mile Super Speedways over and done with?? Is it the Car, is it the package, or is it the Stages?? Because My Late Father’s Voice enters my head at times and in this case especially. When it comes to Drafting Tracks. If you’re keeping this Next-Gen Car with this package. With absolutely no changes. Why Stay on tracks over 1.5 Miles?? Seriously the packages suck on Short and Long Tracks. They’re okay on Road Courses. Daytona has one awesome Road Course (By that I mean fun to drive on), Not Talladega for now mind you. Would you be willing to reconfigure Nashville as a Drafting track and earn its Super Speedway moniker??
Or Would you be willing to let Daytona and Talladega compliment the Stages for the Fuel Cell within the Next-Gen Car?? So no one feels the need to save Throttle during the race at all. Drafting Racing is best when the pedal is to the metal, and quite frankly when Balls are to the Wall. That’s how Dad loved it, That’s how America loves it, and it’s worked pretty well so far.
So let’s talk about your “Non-Officiating Problem”. You were inconsistent yet again with your calls this weekend. Xfinity you let race back to the line and Cup you call as soon as someone sneezes. I’ve said before you call the caution out of “Liability” but your LACK of calling the Caution is a “Liability” in and of itself. Y’all should know better by now. Start with a Plan and STICK TO IT!!!
P.S. After the Pre-Race crap, I have no business seeing Chris Myers. Let him go back to his trailer with his Hairpiece relaxing his face for his next (Alleged) Botox injection so I don’t gotta see him anymore. Jaimie McMuarry I’m fine with. If he’s good enough to replace Sterling Marlin he’s good enough for me.
